Parents / Carers / Nippers – Responsibilities
Parents and carers play an essential role in supporting Nippers, not only for their own children but for the whole group.
Before and After Nippers
-
Nippers line up at 9:45 am ready for a 10:00 am start.
-
All Nippers must line up in front of their Age Group flag.
-
At the end of the session, all groups return to this area for sign-off. Children cannot be signed off on the beach.
-
Parents/carers must sign children in and out on the attendance list held by the Age Manager.
-
If you need to leave early, please inform the Age Manager and sign your child out.
During Nippers
-
Parents/carers must stay close to their child’s group at all times.
-
You are encouraged to assist when needed.
-
Parents/carers are responsible for taking their own child to the toilet.
-
Parents/carers are expected to help with the BBQ when their age group is rostered on.

Supporting Children
-
Encourage children to participate and enjoy themselves – do not force them.

Focus on effort and progress, not just results.
-
Remind children to play by the rules and show respect.

Encourage good sportsmanship – applaud all efforts and achievements.
