Our Registration Day is just around the corner, and we’re thrilled to welcome both returning families and new members to our community. This is the perfect opportunity to get all the information you need, complete the necessary steps, and ensure your child is set for a season of fun, learning, and new friendships.

What You Need to Know About Registration

For Returning and Volunteer Children:Join us on Sunday, September 22, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Bay and Basin Leisure Centre. Please note that pool entry fees apply.

For New Members:New families can register on Wednesday, September 25, from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Bay and Basin Leisure Centre. Pool entry fees apply.

Important: Numbers are limited to 10 Nippers in each age group from U7 to U13, so early registration is recommended.

Registration Process

Part 1: Qualification Swim

All Nippers in the Under 8 age group and above must complete a preliminary swim test to ensure safety. This swim test checks basic water competency to help us gauge each child's abilities and ensure they can participate safely.

Swim Test Requirements for U8 to U13:

Under 8: Back float for 1 minute, submerge and touch the bottom, swim 25m (any stroke)
Under 9: Back float for 1 minute, submerge and touch the bottom, swim 25m (any stroke)
Under 10: Back float for 90 seconds, submerge and touch the bottom, swim 25m (Freestyle)
Under 11: Back float for 2 minutes, submerge and touch the bottom, swim 50m (Freestyle)
Under 12: Back float for 2 minutes, submerge and touch the bottom, swim 100m (Freestyle)
Under 13: Back float for 3 minutes, submerge and touch the bottom, swim 150m (Freestyle)

Under 6 and Under 7 Nippers do not have to complete a swim or float but they MUST be able to swim and they should be able to do the following:

Under 6: Back float for 5 seconds, submerge and touch the bottom, front glide for 1-2 meters.
Under 7: Back float for 10 seconds, submerge and touch the bottom, front glide for 2-3 meters.

Part 2: Lodgement of Forms and Payment of Fees

Complete your registration by submitting the necessary forms and paying the registration fees.

Fees this year are $100 per child (includes SLS registration, cap, and rash shirt). Please bring completed paperwork, ID/proof of age, and Activity Kids Voucher.
